The great thing about one of these bike trips is that you get to ride all day long, if you want, and then have a great party at night, hanging out sipping a little scotch while Mariano fires up the parilla to cook an asado. We saw some beautiful countryside in Tandil, stopping midday for an excellent picnic in a park outside of town, looking out over some of the most beautiful farmland I've seen.

The South Province of Buenos Aires, 380 km from Buenos Aires Capital Federal.

Duration:

Two days (Depart Saturday morning and return Sunday night)

Activities:

We arrive on Saturday noon (1 p.m.) so we can get to the cabins, check in and enjoy lunch before start riding. Then we will ride over the best trails and single tracks that surrounding hills of Tandil have to offer going through Independence Park, leading to CARBA a still working quarry from where we'll get great views of the hills, the green fields and the city. At sunset we head back to the Inn to shower and taste Tandil´s famous cheese and sausages in a place called "Cheese Times", the oldest house in the city built in 1860 for diligences stops and now converted into a location well recognized as a specialist in cheese, sausages and home made jams

The second day we head out on Devil´s Passage rolling 9 km along Route N°74. Then we´ll pass by "Posada de los Pájaros" from where we will be riding a small stone path called "El picapedrero" within beautiful landscapes. Later we'll visit "El Centinela" a huge stone balancing on the top of the hill. This is where we will stop for lunch.
Afterwards we return to Tandil following beautiful and challenging single tracks with a great little downhill run - the joy of mountain biking!
When we get back in Tandil, we will soak up a rejuvenating shower and leave towards Buenos Aires.
